This is a beautiful story to read to a little child during the holiday season. Roni asks his mom why he feels this strange tickling feeling in his chest this time of year. His mother explains that it is a heartwarming bird that spreads the message of love everywhere. Roni is concerned that it will disappear after Christmas, but his mother assures him that this bird must spread the message all over the world, however, if he closes his eyes and tries to imagine he will hear the message in the birds singing. Next year the bird will return.
The book is a refreshing change from the commercialization of the holiday and provides a positive channel for conveying the real message of the season to young children everywhere.
