In my father’s store that served people of all races and social standings, I knew of children who were poor and often never received much education. This story tells of how one child contributed a gift of love with simple rocks and paints when she often had nothing to eat. It was a gift of love from a life-long friend I knew for only a few occasions. She called me her “bestest” friend in the world!
