Jennie is heartbroken whilst her ma, Mabel, leaves for New York together along with her new intended, Oscar Coupe. Still grieving for her Pa, the younger lady feels bereft and heartbroken after she observed out Mable has been preserving Oscar a secret. Jennie wonders what she can be able to do without her ma in Henderson. The simplest component she has to hold her going is analyzing the Bible to the youngsters in school.
