Mrs. SANTA CLAUS went to the door of her house and looked out.
She could not see Mr. Santa Claus coming up the road nor hear the jingle of his sleigh-bells, so she went back to the fire and began filling a stocking. She put an apple and an orange and broken candy in the foot and was adding a top when there was a wild jingle of sleigh-bells. Then the door opened and in stepped Santa Claus.
He was covered with snow and icicles were hanging from his beard. …
