A Kidnapped Santa Claus (1905) is one of Baum’s most beautiful stories and is a continuation of the story set forth in The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. Santa’s castle is in Laughing Valley. Santa Claus is kidnapped by the Daemons in a plan to make children unhappy. His assistants knooks, ryls, fairies, and pixies notice Santa is gone, they endeavor to complete his mission and deliver the gifts.
